FAQs

1

What is the make of the equipment?

All ergs are Concept2. The sandbags are CompeteForce strongman bags.

2

When will I know what time to arrive?

We recommend everyone arrives around 9AM to make the most of the day. The first race of the day will start at 9AM, and the last wave will start no later than 4PM. You will be made aware of your start time the week before the event.

Footwear?

3

The trail route isn’t overly technical but is still much more difficult than running on concrete. We recommend running in trail shoes, but if you wish to wear regulation running shoes, you can. Whilst in the erg zone, you will need to be in a clean pair of gym shoes. Part of the transition from the erg zone to the trail and back is the shoe change.

How can I contact you?

4

Via email - team@campkaizen.co.uk

You can also find us on Insagram at camp.kaizen

What is the terrain for the 5K run?

5

A combination of concrete, gravel path, loose stones & grit, and some larger rocky trail

6

Is pre and post-race nutrition provided?

There will be free samples of Vivo Life protein powder, TENZING, FourFive electrolytes, and more, but we highly recommend coming prepared with your own nutrition. Post race there will be more free samples available. We also have a BBQ on site which you can purchase discounted food from all day.

When will the results be released?

7

Within 2 days of the close of the event. The winners will be announced at the end of the day.

8

Is there a time cap?

Yes - 2 hours and 10 minutes is the cut off.

Can I change the resistance on the machines?

9

Yes

What are the competition categories?

10

Only male and female categories. A winner will be crowned at the end of the event from each. We don’t operate with age categories (yet).

Before and after the race - 15 meter athlete & spectator zone and recovery zone.

During the race - erg zone is covered and 50/50 sandbag zone may be covered if it rains.
